FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
U.S. Air Force Receives Christmas Trees
Donated By Local Manufacturer
On Thursday, November 3rd, 2005, between 9 A.M. and 10 A.M., the U.S. Air Force will
visit Christmas Depot, a Bayonne manufacturer and retailer of artificial
Christmas trees. This is because Christmas Depot has begun implementation of its
Trees For Troops program for Christmas 2005. With the cooperation of Air Force Master
Sergeant Susan Piasecki, Christmas Depot is sending custom-built Christmas trees, complete
with decorations, to American soldiers overseas.
Included in each package are an artificial Christmas tree, American-flag lights,
ornaments, and a star for the top bough. The trees have been specially designed for the
Trees For Troops program. Each tree is made with pride in Christmas Depot's Bayonne, New Jersey
factory.
The trees are scheduled to be picked up by Master Sergeant David Sprouse, who was also
involved in the delivery of the trees for last year's Trees For Troops program. 2005 marks
the 3rd year that Christmas Depot has donated specially-made trees and decorating kits to the
U.S. Air Force.
The management and staff of Christmas Depot are united in their concern for the brave
men and women who put their life on the line every day in defense of our nation.
Says production engineer Elcy Wojcik, "We wanted to do something to show our troops how
much we appreciate everything they do to keep us safe here at home. It must be hard to
have to spend the holidays in a danger zone thousands of miles away from your family, so
we wanted the soldiers to know we care about them."
Company Vice President Deanna Minchello adds, "We thought it would be especially
appropriate for the soldiers to know that the tree they receive was made with
American pride."
Christmas Depot has been in online since 1996, and this year marks its 10th Anniversary
of selling Christmas products on the Internet. Many of the employees of Christmas Depot
have friends or family currently serving in the military.
